Rules
Read these before you submit. They exist so every run on the board was played the same way.
- 01
Keep it sporting
Play in good faith and treat the rest of the field with respect. Contests here run on trust: hype other people's runs, keep the trash talk friendly, and take a loss the same way you take a win.
- 02
Never alter a score or a screenshot
Submit what the game gave you. Editing a screenshot, retouching the numbers, cropping away anything that changes what the run was, or typing in a score that does not match the image all count as the same thing: cheating. It gets the score invalid.
- 03
M-Mod or X-Mod, always
Every chart has to be played on M-Mod or X-Mod. Other mods are not allowed, because they change how the chart reads. The only exception is a contest that says otherwise in its own description — when that happens, the contest rules win.
- 04
Decent and Way Off stay on
You may not turn off the Decent and Way Off judgments. Hiding them inflates the score and makes runs impossible to compare, so any submission played with those judgments disabled are considered invalid.
- 05
The song has to be passed
A failed run does not count, no matter how good the percentage looked before the life bar emptied. If the result screen shows an F, the score is not eligible - clear the chart and submit that instead.
Submitting a score
Scores are submitted from the contest page, on the match that is open right now — you can only pick songs from that match. Both ITG and EX are entered as percentages, and a screenshot of the result screen is required every time. Sending a new score for a song you already submitted replaces the previous one.
How points work
Every run on a song is worth placement points plus clear points.
Placement — first place scores as many points as there are players in the match, capped at 10. Second gets one less, and so on down the board; from eleventh place onwards a run scores 0. The cap comes from the whole match, not from the single song, so picking a chart nobody else played still pays out like a first place instead of a single point.
Clear — passing a chart is worth its difficulty. A 14 is +14, and you keep it even if you finished outside the points. Harder charts are worth taking on.
So placing third on a difficulty 12 chart in a five-player match scores 3 + 12 = 15. Song points add up into a match total, and match totals add up into the contest standings. Ties are broken by total EX.
